Leeds Castle, definitely a ’must see’ is a mere five minute drive away. Kent is also blessed with several National Trust properties and they are all easily accessible from The Limes. Sissinghurst, Igtham Mote can be reached within half an hour with Chartwell (Churchill’s family home) in just a little over. Famous Whitstable on the coast is no time at all and for walkers the North Downs Way is only one mile up the hill. With the station two minutes on foot you can be in Maidstone, the county town of Kent, in five minutes and in the centre of London in one hour.
